Current Assignment
CEO/ General Manager
Our client, a Southern Indiana electric cooperative, seeks a senior leader as
its CEO. The REMC services over 10,000 residential, commercial, and industrial
customers. Position is open to pending retirement.
The Position
- Reports to the Board of Directors.
- Plan, coordinate, and control the daily operation of the REMC.
- Advise and assist the Board of Directors with objectives, policies, and
planning.
- Supervise a staff of 29 employees and lead a management team that
includes Engineering & Operations, Corporate Services, and Member Services.
- Serve as the catalyst for community involvement throughout the company
and foster strong community advocacy ties.
Requirements
- Minimum of 10 years work experience with a strong understanding of
the coop environment.
- Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Ideal background will include some experience in the electric
industry, either power supply or transmission.
- Experience having worked internally with a Board of Directors and
externally with community leaders.
- Experience in a union environment is helpful.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including leadership, strategic
thinking, teamwork, communication, enthusiasm, and a strong work ethic.
