Director of Sales and Marketing

Our client, a leader in the development of thermoset compounds, is seeking a Director of Sales and Marketing. Position is located in the Cleveland, Ohio area.

The Position

• Reports to the President and COO.
• Responsible for all sales and marketing efforts.
• Supervise a staff of three Market Managers. Responsible for six internal Account Managers and five external Rep Firms.
• Identify and evaluate new market opportunities.
• Promote a positive image by directing effective advertising and promotion.
• Manage customer relationships.
• Prepare sales reports and marketing analyses on existing and prospective new business opportunities for Senior Management Team and Board of Directors.
• Some travel required to meet customers and suppliers.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years experience at a senior level marketing and sales position. Must have background that includes both functional areas.
• Bachelor's degree required. MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years supervisory experience.
• Experience in the marketing and sales of engineered products and applications.
• Experience in the strategic planning and execution of sales and marketing programs.
• Experience in negotiating and preparing contracts.
• Strong communication skills and passion for excellence.
