Current Assignment
VICE PRESIDENT OF MANUFACTURING
Our client recently celebrated its 100th anniversary as a leader in the flow
control industry. This is a private company with over $500 million in sales and
multiple facilities located in North America and Europe. Excellent opportunity
to improve the manufacturing culture. Midwest lifestyle near a large university.
The Position
- Reports to the President and COO.
- Responsible for overall management and strategic direction for multiple
domestic and international manufacturing facilities.
- Work with senior management team to help determine the strategic
direction of the company.
- Develop and drive short and long range manufacturing objectives.
- Initiate, implement, and drive cost reduction initiatives.
- Upgrade and standardize the company's operating discipline through the
use of world class operating and measurement techniques, including Lean
Manufacturing and the consistent use of the company's SAP ERP system.
- Domestic and international travel of up to 50%.
Requirements
- Minimum of 15-20 years of manufacturing or operations experience,
including a minimum of 5-10 years supervisory experience in a divisional
or multi-plant management role.
- Bachelor's degree required. MBA preferred.
- Strong preference for background in leading edge manufacturing
techniques, including Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Cellularization, etc.
- Experience in process improvement and cost reduction activities.
